Our communities see themselves as interconnected and interdependent with the larger Chapel Hill-Carrboro community. We invite you to give of your time and skills to support cooperative, affordable living in our area.

You may volunteer at a cooperative or with the non-profit organization.

Skill Areas Requested:

Organic gardening, Sustainable building/construction, Painting, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, Computers/technology, Grant-writing, Fundraising, Event Planning, Documentary work and Meeting Facilitation.

Membership

WCHA accepts monetary donations at all levels. With a minimum donation of $50, you can become a Community Member of the Weaver Community Housing Association.
What does community membership mean? Becoming a community members demonstrates that you support the six principles of WCHA and want to see the egalitarian and self-governing princples of the cooperative model succeed.
Monetary donations WCHA go our general operating funds cover critical costs and expenses of operating a non-profit housing organization.

Community memberships are renewable each year for the minimum donation amount.
